They’re easy to make, have simple ingredients, and are sure to be a hit on any sweet holiday table or spread. Plus, they make a great last-minute homemade food gift!

Ingredients Needed

egg whites, sugars, pecans, vanilla extract, butter, and spices in bowls labeled.
  • Pecans – We love the heart-healthy buttery, nutty, flavor of pecans. Plus, they’re so festive and perfect for the holiday season!
  • White and Brown Sugar – You can use all white sugar for these Crunchy Pecans, but we love the added depth of flavor that just a little bit of brown sugar adds.
  • Egg Whites – Whipped egg whites mixed with the sugar and spices is what coats those pecans to create another crispy sweet layer.
  • Butter – This adds an even richer flavor to these sweet pecans!
  • Vanilla Extract – Just a touch to add just the right amount of vanilla flavor.
  • Spices Cinnamon, Ground Ginger, and Nutmeg all complement the flavor of the pecans and the holiday season!

Easy to Make

two baking pans with parchment paper, one with butter in it and one with all of the butter melted.

Melt Butter

The first step to this recipe is to preheat the oven, and while you’re at it, a melt of the butter that will coat your pecans!

4 bowls one of whipped eggs, one with mixed sugars and spices, and then added to the whipped eggs, and all beaten together.

Beat Egg Whites

This is the only “work” involved in this Crunchy Candied Pecans recipe. Just a quick mix of the sugars and spices, then a beat of the egg whites before mixing it all together.

Customizable!

What’s great about these Crunchy Candied Pecans is that they are totally customizable, too! You can adjust the spices to your liking. Add a little heat with a pinch of cayenne! Make them much more ginger forward with some extra ground ginger! Or give them a pumpkin pie flair or chai spice with some of our favorite homemade spice blends.
